HAROLD LANE

Graveside service for Harold Lee Lane of Brandon, Miss., will be held at 10 a.m. today at Lorimier Cemetery.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral was held Monday at Wright and Ferguson Parkway Chapel in Jackson, Miss.

Lane, 79, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

A native of Zalma, Mo., he was raised in Cape Girardeau.

Lane was director of finance at the University of Memphis 20 years. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and its choir in Jackson, Miss. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard.

Survivors include his wife, the former Gwen Kirk; a son, Hal Lane of Columbia, S.C.; a daughter, Beth Sandridge of Brandon; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
