Harold Kuehle, 67, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at his home.
He was born Aug. 11, 1935, in Cape Girardeau, son of Albert E. and Anna E. Meyer Kuehle. He and Margaret "Peggy" Rasche were married Feb. 7, 1970, in Cape Girardeau.
Harold graduated from Central High School in 1954, and from Southeast Missouri State University in 1961.
He was elected Cape Girardeau County collector in 1967, and retired March 1, 1999. He operated Kuehle Engraving from 1969 to 2002.
Harold was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and formerly held various offices. He was presently teaching a college and career Sunday School class, was a member of Bell Choir, and board member of Old McKendree Chapel.
He was currently a member of Southeast Missouri Hospital Board of Trustees. He was past president of Cape Girardeau Jaycees, Kiwanis Club, past chairman of Mid-America Teen Challenge Board, was active in many other civic organizations and received several awards of recognition.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Michael Rosenthal of St. Louis, Mark Rosenthal of Clinton, Mo., Curtis Rosenthal of St. Louis, Bradley Rosenthal of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Glen Kuehle of Wappapello, Mo., Melvin Kuehle of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Anselm Williams officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
