FARMINGTON -- Memorial service for Harold Eugene "Hal" Knight of Winchester, Va., was held Sept. 2 at Jones Funeral Home. The Rev. John Robinson Jr. and Dr. Richard Reifsnyder officiated. Burial was Friday in Winchester.
Knight, 74, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 1997, at his home.
He was born Feb. 13, 1923, in St. Francois County, son of Sanford and Effie Reynolds Knight. He and Jacqueline "Jackie" Morton were married June 10, 1950, at Jackson.
Knight retired as a sanitarian and captain with the U.S. Public Health Service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a 32nd Degree Mason. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David Knight of Winchester; a daughter, Deborah Martin of Fairfax, Va.; a brother, Edwin Knight of Farmington; and three grandchildren.
