MILLER CITY, Ill. -- Harold L. Greenley, 74, of Red Bud, Ill., died Friday, April 4, 2003, at Red Bud Regional Hospital. He was born March 11, 1929, in Miller City, son of Lloyd and Beatrice Switzer Greenley. He and Virginia Rushing were married Jan. 6, 1963, at Fredericktown, Mo...

MILLER CITY, Ill. -- Harold L. Greenley, 74, of Red Bud, Ill., died Friday, April 4, 2003, at Red Bud Regional Hospital.

He was born March 11, 1929, in Miller City, son of Lloyd and Beatrice Switzer Greenley. He and Virginia Rushing were married Jan. 6, 1963, at Fredericktown, Mo.

Greenley was a retired truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion in St. Louis, and Teamsters Local 618.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife; six sons, Clinton Greenley of Waterloo, Ill., Clayton Greenley of Olive Branch, Ill., Carlton Greenley of Key Largo, Fla., Anthony Greenley of Olathe, Kan., Scott Greenley of High Ridge, Mo., Steve Greenley of Red Bud; a sister, Mary Hale of Marengo, Ill.; two brothers, Gordon Greenley of Kansas City, Kan., James Greenley of Olive Branch; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

The funeral was held Monday at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud. Burial was in Lake View Memorial Gardens at Fairview Heights, Ill.
