MARBLE HILL -- Funeral service for Harold Eugene "Bud" Beard of Marble Hill will be held at 1 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Frank Shanks will officiate, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery near here.
Beard, 53, died Friday, Jan. 29, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born April 30, 1939, at Marble Hill, son of Walter and Audrey E. Long Beard. He and Vanna Lou Stevens were married Oct. 6, 1958.
Beard was a truck driver with Kasten Masonry Sales. He was a member of Teamsters 574, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard Beard; a daughter, Phillis Bollinger; his mother, all of Marble Hill; two brothers, Darris Beard of Marble Hill, Gilbert Beard of Fredericktown; five sisters, Shirley Propst and Gloria Hoxworth of Marble Hill, Mary Tyler of state of Florida, June Lincoln of Millersville, Gladys Glover of St. Charles, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, brother and his father.
