CHAFFEE, Mo. — Harold "Butch" Cobb of Chaffee, son of Julia Ann Cobb of Chaffee and the late Lester Ray Cobb, was born Aug. 12, 1959, in Cape Girardeau and departed his life Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 64.
Butch was a 1978 graduate of Chaffee Senior High and a 14-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Gulf War. He was a former employee of Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge in Chaffee.
Most of all, Butch loved spending time with his three grandchildren and family.
Besides his mother, survivors include one daughter, Kimberly (Jeremy) Spiller of Indianapolis; three brothers, Terry Joe Cobb of Eldon, Missouri, Ronald Gene Cobb of Chaffee and Donald Ray Cobb of Scott City; three grandchildren, Joseph, Alexandria and Olivia Spiller, all of Indianapolis; and other relatives and friends.
Besides his father, Butch was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Michael Cobb.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct, 24, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, with Donald Cobb officiating. Committal service, with full military honors, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
