Harley A. Anderson, 87, of Caruthersville died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti.
He was born March 1, 1912, in Hayti, son of Daniel and Mattie Smitherton Anderson. He married Ardella Jenkins on Sept. 4, 1934, at Caruthersville.
He was a finisher at Brown Shoe Co., working for the firm for more than 34 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Caruthersville.
He served in the Missouri National Guard for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Norman S. Anderson of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersville.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ira Singleton officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
