HARLAN OVERBECK

SUNSET HILLS -- Harlan (Jack) Overbeck, 89, of Sunset Hills, formerly of Cape Girardeau County, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Jan. 11, 1908, in Cape County. He was the son of F.W. and Annie Roberts Overbeck.

He married Grace L. Lowes April 21, 1931, in Benton. She preceded him in death May 18, 1997.

He was a farmer in the Cape County area all his life. He was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson.

He is survived by two daughters, Ann Larkin of Sunset Hills and Peggy Overbeck-Williams of Garland, Texas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters, and a grandson.

Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Griffin officiating.

Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
