Harl E. Friedrich, 86, of Whitewater passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at his home.
He was born Feb. 13, 1927, near Advance, Mo., son of Charlie and Agnes Barker Friedrich. He and Elizabeth Anne "Betty" Deneke were married May 12, 1957, at Zion United Methodist Church in Gordonville. She passed away Dec. 13, 2009.
Harl was a builder and farmer near the Whitewater community most of his life.
Loving survivors include two sons, Hal Friedrich of Alder, Mont., and Charles (Cristina) Friedrich of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Julie Francis of Cape Girardeau, Kristy Friedrich of Whitewater and Jeanne Friedrich of Delta; five grandchildren, Brandon and Katie Francis, Christian and Michael Perez and Benjamin Friedrich; and two brothers, Earl Friedrich of Jackson and Vincent Friedrich of Oak Ridge.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Vivian Schneider and Clara Schneider, and two brothers, Raymond and Glen Friedrich.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, and from 1 p.m. until time of service Sunday at Zion United Methodist Church.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Revs. Joel Kidwell and Zack Strong officiating. Interment will be in Zion United Methodist Cemetery.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
