WHITEWATER, Mo. -- Hansel Willie Williams, 73, of Whitewater died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at his home. He was born July 11, 1927, in Olney, Ill., son of Willie and Ada Lynch Williams. He was Navy veteran of World War II. He attended the Jackson Church of the Nazarene. He worked many years for a number of implement dealers in Illinois and five years for Cape-Kil Pest Controli Company, before retiring in 1996...

WHITEWATER, Mo. -- Hansel Willie Williams, 73, of Whitewater died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at his home.

He was born July 11, 1927, in Olney, Ill., son of Willie and Ada Lynch Williams.

He was Navy veteran of World War II. He attended the Jackson Church of the Nazarene. He worked many years for a number of implement dealers in Illinois and five years for Cape-Kil Pest Controli Company, before retiring in 1996.

He and Dorothy E. Scranton were married July 11, 1947, in Lawrenceville, Ill.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Barry Williams of Noblesville, Ind., Terry Williams of Bethany, Ill., Bruce Williams and Timothy Williams, both of Whitewater, and David Williams of Poteau, Okla.; a daughter, Connie Williams of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; and three-great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, Mo.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ken Harper officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
