PATTON, Mo. -- Hansel Walden Heitman, 86, of Patton died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville, Mo.
He was born March 29, 1914, near Patton, son of Emanuel Theadore and Etta Mayfield Heitman. He and Nancy C. Mungle were married April 4, 1935, at Fredericktown, Mo.
Heitman had worked at Curtis Wright and McDonnell Aircraft. He had also farmed and did carpenter work.
He was a member of Reagan's Chapel United Methodist Church and served many years as song leader, Sunday School teacher and superintendent. He was a former member and president of Patton-Sedgewickville School Board.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry Heitman of Patton, Larry Heitman of Sedgewickville, Mo.; three daughters, Louise Baker and Judy Wilfong of Patton, Louella Barber of Brazeau, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, three brothers, and two sisters.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. W.D. Snider officiating. Burial will be in Reagan's Chapel Cemetery.
