Hannah Karrick, 76, of Carlinville, Ill., and formerly of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 6 , 1926, in McKees Rock, Pa., the daughter of Hryhory and Sophie Fe'do Britt. She married John W. Karrick in Peoria, Ill. He preceded her in death in 1980.
She was formerly employed as a cook at Weatherford Sunshine Manor and at the Alton Road Cafe, both in Carlinville. She most recently worked as a cook at the Gibson Recovery Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Mohnach of Detroit, Mich., and John W. Karrick of Vinton, Iowa; two daughters, Doreen Cook of Fredericksburg, Iowa, and Colleen Kimmel of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Private family graveside services will be held at Rural Methodist Cemetery in Carlinville.
Heinz Funeral Home in Carlinville is in charge of arrangements.
