GORDONVILLE -- Hannah Jane Crites, 97, of Gordonville died Thursday, Jan. 11, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 9, 1898, at Commerce, daughter of Rudolph and Sarah Bollinger Statler.
She and Earl Herman Crites were married in 1920, at Sedgewickville. He died July 11, 1974.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Cape Girardeau. She attended school in Sedgewickville. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Gordonville and the Women's Division General Board of Global Ministries for the United Methodist Church.
Survivors are three sons, Earl Crites of Cape Girardeau, Dennis Crites of O'Fallon and Richard Crites of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a daughter, Mary Dell Crites Henry of St. Louis; a sister, Grace Johnson of Jackson; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Monday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Conway Briscoe will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
