MARBLE HILL -- Hallie Shell Vesterby, 85, of Marble Hill died Thursday, June 13, 1995.
She was born April 3, 1910, at Sank, daughter of Lee and Rozetta Hahn Fisher.
She married Vernon E. Shell on July 3, 1926. He preceded her in death in 1981.
She then married the Rev. Charles Shipley on Sept. 4, 1982. He preceded her in death in 1988.
She then married Doyle F. Vesterby on Nov. 29, 1989. He survives.
She lived in Bollinger County all her life and worked for the International Hat Factory many years before retiring in 1972.
She was a member of the Clubb Creek General Baptist Church and attended the Hahn Chapel General Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Frederick Lee "Rick" Shell of Marble Hill; a daughter, Lorena Shell Eaker of Church Hill, Tenn.; three stepsons, Ryon Vesterby of Ste Genevieve, Ralph Vesterby of Selmar, Tenn., and Charles E. Shipley of Dexter; four stepdaughters, Betty Shipley Jordan of Patton, Alice Vesterby McMath of Grassy, Edna Vesterby Weisler of Marble Hill and Rose Ann Vesterby of Scopus; two sisters, Alma Fisher Murdock of Greenfield, Ill., and Dora Fisher Cooper of Star City, Ark.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; 19 stepgrandchildren; and 25 stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, an infant son and daughter, two brothers, a sister and a stepson.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Revs. Gerald Huff and Randy Poole officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery.
