CAIRO, Ill. -- Halley Thistlewood, 85, of Cairo, died Monday, Nov. 4, 1991, at Charleston Manor in Charleston, Mo.

She was born Aug. 20, 1906, in St. Louis.

Thistlewood was a member of First Christian Church here, longtime member of Cairo Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and past president of Cairo Women's Club.

Survivors include two sons, William Thistlewood of Pocahontas, Ark., Arthur Thistlewood of Moss Beach, Calif.; a sister, Frances Cole of Phoenix, Ariz., and two grandsons.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Beech Grove Cemetery in Mounds, with the Rev. Richard Pigg officiating.

Crain Funeral Home of Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
