MILLERSVILLE -- Hal W. Goddard, 44, of Millersville, a teacher at Jackson R-2 Schools, died Tuesday, March 10, 1992, at his home.
He was born Oct. 17, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, son of Doyle Wayne and Martha Nale Goddard. He and Peggy Ruth Estes were married June 23, 1967, in Cape Girardeau.
Goddard had taught at Jackson about 15 years, and since 1984 was an algebra II and computer II teacher at the high school.
He received bachelor of science degrees in agricultural mechanization and mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia; received a teaching certificate in secondary education and master's degree in secondary administration from Southeast Missouri State University.
Goddard was a member of Cape Bible Chapel in Cape Girardeau, active in Southeast Missouri Boy Scout Council, and was active in Troop 311 at Jackson from 1980-89. He was voted Educator of the Year for 1991 by Jackson DeMolays.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Matthew Goddard of Cape Girardeau, Ryan Goddard of the home; his mother of Advance; two sisters, Helen Inman of St. Louis, and Kathy Barry of Advance.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cape Bible Chapel. Pastor Hal Greene will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
