PERRYVILLE, Mo. � H. Wayne Pitman, 78 of Perryville died Friday, Dec. 21, 2017, at his home.
He was born May 9, 1939, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Mitchel and Iva Mae Hand Pitman. He and Judy Hendrix were married June 18, 1960. She survives in Perryville.
He was retired from Citizen�s Electric in Perryville. He was a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasons, Masonic Lodge No. 670, Order of the Eastern Star Perryville Chapter No. 460 OES, and United Methodist Church in Sedgewickville, Missouri. He was in U.S. Navy Reserves and was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam War.
Other survivors include one son, Wesley (LeeAnn) Pitman of Ballwin, Missouri; one daughter, Cynthia (Perry III) Hazelwood of New Wells; one foster daughter, Charlotte �Patty� Colin of Perryville; two sisters and one brother, Beverly Hildebrandt of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, Nicholas Franzen of Kiel, Wisconsin, and Barbara Turner of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Perry C. Hazelwood IV, Mitchel A. Hazelwood, Donald W. Hazelwood, Bradley W. Pitman, Benjamin L. Pitman and Daniel B. Hazelwood; and three great-grandchildren, Perry C. Hazelwood V, John D. Hazelwood and Charley E. Hazelwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Nicholas W. Pitman.
A celebration of life will be held from 1 p.m. until time of a Masonic service at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Masonic Lodge No. 670 in Perryville or Shriners Children�s Hospital.
