MARBLE HILL -- H. Douglas "Doug" Houston, 70, of Marble Hill, died Thursday, June 1, 1995, at Bond Nursing Care Center.
He was born Jan. 5, 1925, in Marble Hill, son of Guy R. and Berth Lock Houston. He and Almeta Stevens were married Nov. 19, 1947.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Terry Houston of Oak Ridge and Randy Houston of Glen Allen; a sister, Marsha Steiger of Marble Hill; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a granddaughter.
Houston was a small engine mechanic and worked at Cooper's Auto Parts for many years.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Friends may call at Baker Funeral Home in Marble Hill today from 4 to 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be at the funeral home Sunday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery.
