SIKESTON, Mo. -- Gwendolyn Louise Shy, 80, of Sikeston died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at her home. She was born Nov. 16, 1922, at Ristine, Mo., daughter of Gordon Samuel and Helen Gould Cruchon Shy Sr. Shy was office manager and accountant at Scott County Milling Co. more than 40 years. SIKESTON, Mo. -- Gwendolyn Louise Shy, 80, of Sikeston died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at her home.

She was born Nov. 16, 1922, at Ristine, Mo., daughter of Gordon Samuel and Helen Gould Cruchon Shy Sr.

Shy was office manager and accountant at Scott County Milling Co. more than 40 years. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, and a charter member of Daughters of Isabella and Legion of Mary.

Survivors include a brother, Harold Shy of Warrensburg, Mo., and a sister, Helen Grady of Sikeston.

She was preceded in death by four brothers.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Church. The Rev. Stephen Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid, Mo.
