MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Grover C. Hahs, 85, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Elder Care of Marble Hill.
He was born June 24, 1916, at Sedgewickville, Mo., son of Rebecca Hahs Taylor. He and Zona Eliza Craft were married Sept. 11, 1943. She died April 30, 1995.
Hahs worked at a stueve mill north of Jackson, Mo., a small arms plant in St. Louis, and later was a farm worker. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, and former member and deacon of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Connie Russell of Marble Hill; a stepson, Eddie Craft of Jackson; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Revs. Randy Poole and Thomas Bray will officiate. Burial will be in New Bethel Baptist Cemetery near Pocahontas, Mo.
