BENTON -- Jessie Joseph "Grassy" Doty Jr., 68, of Benton died Saturday, April 19, 1997, at Chaffee Nursing Center. He was born June 7, 1928, at Benton, son of Jess and Anna Stark Doty. Doty was a lifelong resident of Benton. He was a self-employed truck driver, retiring in 1989...
BENTON -- Jessie Joseph "Grassy" Doty Jr., 68, of Benton died Saturday, April 19, 1997, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
He was born June 7, 1928, at Benton, son of Jess and Anna Stark Doty.
Doty was a lifelong resident of Benton. He was a self-employed truck driver, retiring in 1989.
Survivors include a brother, Gerald Doty of Lexington, N.C.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Hills Cemetery in Morley.
There is no visitation.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
