Gracie M. Phillips, 87, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 3, 1913, in Bear Springs, Tenn., daughter of Robert Black and Mary Howell Black. She married Charles Croy, then Sidney Phillips. Both preceded her in death.

She was a former resident of McClure, Ill., and a member of the McClure Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Bobbie Woodard of Cape Girardeau; three sons, the Rev. Charles "Tom" Croy and Billy Joe Croy, both of Tucson, and Charles Edgar Croy Jr. of McClure; two sisters, Fay Dismore of Bardwell, Ky., and Betty Keefer of Teiron, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Mark Boyd will officiate, with burial in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.
