SIKESTON -- Grace Lorraine Willis of Sikeston died Friday, Sept. 11, 1998, at her home. She was 85. She was born in Opella, Ark., Sept. 23, 1912, daughter of Luther and Ida Elsberry Taylor. On Feb. 10, 1935, she married James Willis in Houston, Ark. He preceded her in death Aug. 6, 1993...

SIKESTON -- Grace Lorraine Willis of Sikeston died Friday, Sept. 11, 1998, at her home. She was 85.

She was born in Opella, Ark., Sept. 23, 1912, daughter of Luther and Ida Elsberry Taylor. On Feb. 10, 1935, she married James Willis in Houston, Ark. He preceded her in death Aug. 6, 1993.

She worked as a bookkeeper and payroll supervisor for International Shoe Company until her retirement. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, where she served as an adult Sunday School teacher for 40 years and was a member of the Women's Ministries.

She is survived by one brother, Ervin Taylor of Sikeston; one sister, Erma Davidson of North Little Rock, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Assembly of God Church, the Revs. Bill Nichols and Scott Stroup officiating. Visitation was held Saturday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow at Garden of Memories cemetery in Sikeston.
