THEBES, Ill. -- Grace Lorraine King, 79, Thebes Route 1, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 1995, at her home. She was born June 29, 1916, in Cabool, Mo., daughter of Adam A. and Cora Effie Cox Brown. She and Edward W. King were married June 21, 1935, in Golconda. He died Nov. 20, 1988...

THEBES, Ill. -- Grace Lorraine King, 79, Thebes Route 1, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 1995, at her home.

She was born June 29, 1916, in Cabool, Mo., daughter of Adam A. and Cora Effie Cox Brown. She and Edward W. King were married June 21, 1935, in Golconda. He died Nov. 20, 1988.

King was a member of Olive Branch Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry King of Thebes, Edward King of Bentley, La.; a sister, Iona Elliott of Omaha, Neb.; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, Mo., from 4-8 p.m. today.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes, with the Rev. Carl Fisher officiating.
