EAST PRAIRIE -- Grace Lee Emory, 83, of East Prairie, died Sunday, March 1, 1992, at her home, following an extended illness. She was born Sept. 15, 1908, in Mississippi County, daughter of James Owen and Lura Hall Smith. She and James L. Emory were married May 12, 1929...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Grace Lee Emory, 83, of East Prairie, died Sunday, March 1, 1992, at her home, following an extended illness.

She was born Sept. 15, 1908, in Mississippi County, daughter of James Owen and Lura Hall Smith. She and James L. Emory were married May 12, 1929.

Emory was a member of First Baptist Church here.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Jack Emory of East Prairie; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. George White will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Ted Wimberly. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park.
