Grace Bee Hager, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at the home of her daughter.
She was born July 20, 1918, at Blytheville, Ark., daughter of Jesse Allen and Liddie Jane Brooks Widner. She and Charles "Fudge" Hager were married Oct. 16, 1936, at Benton. He died Nov. 2, 1993.
Hager worked at St. Vincent's College in the laundry department for over 20 years. She also worked at the Hilltop Nursing Home and Florsheim Shoe Factory for several years. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include a son, Joe C. Hager of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Rose Hawk of Cape Girardeau and Linda Hess of Jackson; a sister, Cora Mae Fincher of Tampa, Fla.; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by six brothers.
Friends may call at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Darrell E. Faire Sr. will officiate, with burial at Lorimier Cemetery.
