GRACE ANCELL

HOLT SUMMIT -- Grace F. Ancell of Holt Summit, and formerly of Chaffee, died Friday, Sept. 19, 1997, at Capital Regional Hospital in Jefferson City.

She was born Oct. 7, 1916, at Bell City, daughter of Ray and Cora Watson Shores.

On Sept. 30, 1935, she married W.W. "Bill" Ancell.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Chaffee.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Hadden Ancell of Holt Summit; a daughter, Katherine Smith of Chaffee; two sisters, Dora Mantel of Jackson and Ella Rose Adams of Chula Vista, Calif.; a grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
