MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Grace A. Miller, 104, of St. Louis, formerly of Mound City, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 1994, at South County Manor Nursing Home in Arnold.
She was born Sept. 10, 1889, in Alexander County, daughter of Enoch and Sarah Evans Metcalf. She married Jesse Miller, who preceded her in death.
Miller taught school in Alexander and Pulaski counties 20 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church here, Mound City Women's Club, Order of Eastern Star, and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include four grandchildren, David and Allen Miller of St. Louis, Donald Bitz of Freeport, Ill., Mary Rehagen of Dallas, Texas, and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and daughter.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City after 5 p.m. today, and at First United Methodist Church in Mounds after 9 a.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. F. Jerry Herring officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds.
