BLOOMFIELD -- Golie E. Vines, 89, of Bloomfield, died Monday, Sept. 12, 1994, at Miner Nursing Center in Miner.

She was born Oct. 10, 1904, in Canalou, daughter of Hansel and Lou Emma Evans Beardsley. She married Guy Vines July 3, 1920, at Benton. He died Aug. 10, 1974.

Vines was a member of St. Joe General Baptist Church at Idalia.

Survivors include a son, Burl Vines of Sikeston; five daughters, Jan Higdon of Bloomfield, Emma Warf of Lilbourn, Alfreda Reid of Jackson, Tenn., Ellen Grady of Fairview Heights, Ill., Ruth Hunt of Sedalia; four half sisters, Opal Clark of Sikeston, Jewell Mashmeyer of St. Louis, Eva Albright of Rolla, Veda Basler of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Revs. Dan Sitze and Dale McFarland officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
