EAST PRAIRIE -- Goldie Keene, 76, of East Prairie died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born March 9, 1922, in the Barnes Ridge Community near East Prairie to Bert and Ada White Carnahan.
On March 31, 1940, she married Eleria T. Keene, who died May 2, 1977.
She lived in Mississippi County all of her life. She was retired from Brown Shoe Co. in Charleston and belonged to St. James General Baptist Church in East Prairie.
Survivors include a son, Bert Keene of East Prairie; a daughter, Joyce Bright of East Prairie; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A half brother preceded her in death.
Visitation is today at 5 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home. Services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with Brother David Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
