EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Goldie Mae Banks of East Prairie will be held at 11 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. Larry Smith will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Banks, 70, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 24, 1926, in Selmer, Tenn., daughter of James and Ruby Bain McGee. She and Cecil W. Banks were married Nov. 12, 1966.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Bobby McGee of East Prairie; a daughter, Candy Rolwing of East Prairie; a brother, Ray McGee of Piedmont; two sisters, Thelma Bolton of Red Bay, Ala., Eunice Pardue of Dennis, Miss.; two nephews she reared, Jerry Young of Sikeston, Troy Young of San Francisco, Calif.; four nieces she reared, DeEtta Johnston and Martha Young of East Prairie, Betty Bennett of Tishomingo, Miss., Ollie Buchannon of Bethalto, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, two brothers and a sister.
