ANNA, Ill. — Golda Winn, 83, of Anna died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Jonesboro Rehab and Care Center in Jonesboro, Ill.
She was born June 17, 1925, in Union County, Ill., daughter of James Green and Tressie Jones Henderson. She and Oral "Preach" Winn were married Sept. 17, 1954. He died July 10, 2004.
Winn was a member of Jonesboro Methodist Church. She worked at Florsheim Shoe Co. 22 years, and retired as an assistant supervisor of housekeeping from Union County Hospital.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Anna Star Chapter 522 OES, Rebekah Lodge, and a life member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include a cousin, Tom Jones of Mukwonago, Wis.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Bob Fear officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
