Golda J. Ross, 97, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at Chateau Girardeau.
She was born May 1, 1909, in Albany, Mo., daughter of W.J. and Emma Burgess Siddens. She and Thornton D. Ross were married in 1937. He died in 1957.
Ross retired from the Albany Public School System in 1974 and taught in numerous public schools in Northwest Missouri.
She was a member of Gateway Christian Church in Town and Country, Mo.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Ross of Fenton, Mo., Dick Ross of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Mary Shepard of Jackson; eleven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to service time at Gateway Christian Church in Town and Country.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the church, with the Rev. Paul Newland officiating. Burial will be in Forever Oak Hill Cemetery in Town and Country.
McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
