COMMERCE, Mo. -- Golda Virginia Johnson, 90, of Commerce died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 18, 1926, in Commerce to Martin W. and Bessie E. Raines Koch. She married James Thomas Johnson on April 21, 1946. He preceded her in death Nov. 22, 2015.

She is survived by three daughters, Nancy (Robin) Burger of New Hamburg, Missouri, Patricia DeHart of Commerce and Peggy (Joe) Burton of Sikeston, Missouri; a sister, Mary Jean Hitt of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren, Tina (Warren) Cork, James (Chantel) Burton, Brian Burton, Alex Burton, Chris (Beth) DeHart, Sarah (Stephen) Moore, Heath (Karen) Burger, Heather (Dustin) Benson, Brett (Jessica) Burger and Mark Burger; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Terry DeHart, and three brothers, Marion, Albert and Joseph Koch.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service today at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Benton, Missouri.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Morley, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Shriners Hospital.
