PUXICO, Mo. -- Golda Ethel Devore, 101, of Puxico died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Puxico Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was born Sept. 12, 1899, in Decatur, Ill., daughter of Daniel and Isabel Hopkins Gharrett. She married John Devore, who died in March 1987.
Devore lived most of her life in Decatur where she was a member of Foursquare Church and taught Sunday School many years. She moved to Puxico in 1995.
Survivors include a son, Paul Devore of Fort Myers, Fla., several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a brother, two sisters, and a half brother.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Graceland Cemetery in Decatur. The Rev. Sylvia Erickson will officiate.
Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico and Dawson-Wikoff Funeral Home in Decatur are in charge of arrangements.
