SIKESTON -- Gloria D. Lewis, 47, of Sikeston died suddenly Saturday, June 7, 1997, at her home.
She was born Nov. 8, 1949, in Clarksdale, Ark., daughter of Rubur and Mable Rogers Valentine.
Lewis had lived in Missouri since 1955.
Survivors include three sons, John Lewis Jr. and Perry Valentine of Sikeston, Willie Lewis of Milwaukee, Wis.; two daughters, Gloria and Mary Lewis of Sikeston; four sisters, Margaret Grant and Rose Valentine of Sikeston, Ophelia Shoffner of Poplar Bluff, Mary Valentine of Milwaukee; three brothers, David Edwards of Marion, Ind., Willie Hill of Chicago, James Valentine of Omaha, Neb.; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call at Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Burial will be in Sunset of Memories Cemetery.
