GLORIA KIMBLE

CHARLESTON -- Gloria Kimble, 45, of Chicago, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1993, at Michael Reese Hospital, following an extended illness. She was born April 9, 1948, in Charleston, daughter of A.D. and Hattie Kimble. Kimble graduated from Charleston High School in 1966, and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia. She was employed by Illinois Department of Public Aid more than 20 years. She was a member of Christ Universal Church in Chicago...

CHARLESTON -- Gloria Kimble, 45, of Chicago, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1993, at Michael Reese Hospital, following an extended illness.

She was born April 9, 1948, in Charleston, daughter of A.D. and Hattie Kimble.

Kimble graduated from Charleston High School in 1966, and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia. She was employed by Illinois Department of Public Aid more than 20 years. She was a member of Christ Universal Church in Chicago.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Kimble of Madison, Wis., Dewayne Kimble with the U.S. Army in Germany; her mother of Charleston; two brothers, Howard Kimble of Bensenville, Ill., Vernon Kimble of Bellwood, Ill.; a sister, Rose Smith of Chicago, and five grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Perry Chapel AME Church. The Rev. Joe Travis will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church after 1 p.m. Saturday.

Sparks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
