BURFORDVILLE -- Gloria Jean Wells Jamieson, 54, died May 28, 1999, at her home, following a lengthy illness. She was born Sept. 21, 1944, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ruby Mae Wells of Cape Girardeau and the late Raymond Wells. Gloria had been employed by Thorngate Ltd. in Cape Girardeau for 24 years...

BURFORDVILLE -- Gloria Jean Wells Jamieson, 54, died May 28, 1999, at her home, following a lengthy illness.

She was born Sept. 21, 1944, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ruby Mae Wells of Cape Girardeau and the late Raymond Wells.

Gloria had been employed by Thorngate Ltd. in Cape Girardeau for 24 years.

On May 12, 1962, at Oran, she married William Jamieson who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include three sons, Eric Jamieson of Millersville, Shanon Jamieson of Jackson and Chad Jamieson of Burfordville; a daughter, Melissa Jamieson-Hubbard of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren, Larry Jamieson, Chase Jamieson, Joshua Hubbard, Ethan Jamieson, Britney Hubbard, Austin Jamieson and Peyton Jamieson; a brother, Kenneth Wells of Diehlstadt; two sisters, Donna Wells Chrisman of Las Vegas, Nev., and Patsy Wells Ellis of Cape Girardeau; and five nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Ponder Funeral Home at Sikeston.

The funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.

Gloria was a teriffic wife and mother, a devoted daughter to her mother and a loving sister.

All of her family deeply cared for and loved her and were blessed to have her in their lives.
