Gloria Jean Farr, 49, of Jackson passed away Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 16, 1961, in Fort Collins, Colo., to John M. and Pauline C. Towe Farr.
Gloria served honorably in the U.S. Army during the 1980s.
Loving survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Tonya Mitchell and husband Sean, Lindsey Hellmann and husband Morgan, all of Jackson; five grandchildren, Shaunna, Tanner, Riley, Kaylee Mitchell, and Mayven Hellmann; six sisters, Ruth Kindsfather, Jewel Peterson, Janie Groven, JoAnn Howard, Genny Ferguson and Pearl Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Johndalee Farr and Shirley Logue.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Bread of Life Church, 502 W. Main St. in Jackson. A reception will follow at the Creative Edge, 160 N. Enterprise St. in Jackson.
A private committal service will be at a later date, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military honors.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Bread of Life Restoration Center.
