PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Glenna Nadine Turnipseed, 85, of Perryville died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at Barnes Jewish Hospital at St. Louis, Mo.
She was born Dec. 3, 1919, at Puxico, Mo., daughter of William and Lou Frances Hastings Burge. She and George Turnipseed were married Feb. 7, 1937. He died March 13, 1975.
Turnipseed was employed in the repair department at Prince Gardener and was a volunteer hospital worker. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church at St. Mary, Mo.
Survivors include three daughters, Caroline Haines of Ellisville, Mo., Reta McIver of Shell Knob, Mo., Conna Pate of Jackson; a son, Terry Turnipseed of Dupo, Ill.; a sister, Laura Ryan of Crystal City, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Young & Sons Chapel.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church, with the Rev. Irvin Brooks officiating. Friends may also call from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Brown General Baptist Church at Puxico, with pastor Ray Placher officiating. Burial will be in Brown General Baptist Church Cemetery.
