ADVANCE -- Glenn W. Rhodes Sr., 80, of Advance, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 14, 1913 at Leora, Mo., son of Dollison and Ida Harwell Rhodes.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army Air Corp.
He was Advance Postmaster until his retirement.
He was a member of the Advance United Methodist Church. He was a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge Scottish Rite and O.E.S., at Advance. He was active in Boy Scouting.
He is survived by a son, Glenn W. Rhodes II of Sikeston; daughters, Marcia Heuer, West Lake Village, Calif., and Marilyn Garner, Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, Doyle Rhodes, Oxnard, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
Her was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Advance, with the Rev. Virgil Bunch officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park at Advance.
