ADVANCE -- Glenn M. Liley, 73, of Advance died Saturday at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Jan. 2, 1923, in Glenallen, son of the late William and Adaline Gatlin Liley.
He married Nellie Jane Lewis on Nov. 22, 1959, at Sturdivant.
He worked for the Forestry Service, as a sawmill laborer and retired as a custodian for the Ritenour School District in St. Louis. He was a member of the Bethel General Baptist Church in Advance for 17 years.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Jeff and Tim, both of Advance; two brothers, Charles of O'Fallon and Lyndell of Jackson; and two sisters, Luella Sieland of Hutchinson, Kan., and Lillian Wampler of St. Charles.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at funeral home, with the Rev. Ray Placher officiating and the Rev. Eddie Cook assisting. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park in Marble Hill.
