Glenn H. Tacke, 84, of Springfield, died Monday, Sept. 4, 1995, at St. John's Regional Health Center there.
He was born Oct. 4, 1910, at Arnsberg, son of Franklin J. and Carrie Lang Tacke. He married Maxine McDowell of the Fruitland community May 23, 1942.
Tacke was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
He taught school in Southeast Missouri for several years. The family moved to Springfield in 1945. He was a salesman with Kennedy Brick Co. from that time until retiring.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Stephen Tacke of Dallas, Texas, James Tacke of Nixa, and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kingsway United Methodist Church in Springfield. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery there.
