CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Glenn C. Ault of Charleston will be held at 11 a.m. today at the United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard Combs officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
Ault, 82, died Friday, Dec. 23, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born July 23, 1912, in the Birds Mill community, son of Newman Martin and Leo Myrl Barnbrook Ault. He and Mildred Rushing were married Dec. 4, 1938.
Ault had been a pitcher with the St. Louis Cardinals, and was a charter inductee in the SEMO Chapter of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
He was owner and operator of Ault Hardware until 1953, and had been a farmer and polled Hereford breeder.
Ault was a member of Charleston United Methodist Church. He was a member and past president of Charleston R-1 School Board, Charleston Country Club, and Missouri Polled Hereford Association; past member and chairman of Mississippi County Chapter of American Red Cross, and had been a member of Charleston Kiwanis Club and Masonic Lodge 407 AF&AM.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Glenn Ault Jr. of Charleston; a daughter, Janice Brewer of East Prairie, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
