Glenda Ruth Smith, 43, of Cape Girardeau and formerly of Memphis, Tenn., died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at St. Francis Hospital.
She was born Feb. 12, 1956, daughter of Robert Lee and Sadie McCoy Sr. She and John P. Smith were married April 13, 1990 at Dewitt, Ark.
She worked as a nurse assistant at St. Francis Hospital.
Survivors include four daughters, Felicia Smith and Naudia Smith, both of Milwaukee and Tiffany J. Smith and Glenda K. Smith, both of Cape Girardeau; three sons, John P. Smith Jr. of Los Angeles, Stevie Smith of Elgin, Ill., and Kevin Anderson Smith of Memphis, Tenn.; four sisters, Regina Chambers, Stephanie McCoy, and Darlene Kurt, all of Memphis, and Angela Hodges of Milwaukee; three brothers, Robert McCoy, Darron McCoy and Michael L. McCoy, all of Memphis; and six grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 12 p.m. Wednesday at the Greater St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church at Memphis. The Rev. John F. Harris Sr. will officiate, with burial to follow at New Park Cemetery.
N.F. Ford and Sons Funeral Parlor at Memphis is in charge of arrangements.
