GLENDA BOONE

CHARLESTON -- Glenda Boone, 62, of Smartville, Calif., died Saturday, April 25, 1998, at Sierra Nevada Hospital in Grass Valley, Calif.

She was born March 27, 1936, in New Madrid County, daughter of Roy R. and Jessie W. Organ Cox.

Boone had lived in California 30 years, and had been manager of an apartment complex.

Survivors include a son, Keith Watkins of Smartville; her mother of the Bridges community in Mississippi County; four brothers, Richard and Adon Cox of Charleston, Tommy Cox of Commerce, Roy Cox of DeSoto; four sisters, Phyllis Williams of St. Louis, Janet Baker of Chicago, Nancy Kindle of Morehouse, Libby Stracener of Charleston; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
