SIKESTON, Mo. -- Glen Ray Wilkey, 59, of Sikeston, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, in Marble Hill, Mo.

He was born June 12, 1944, at Hornersville, Mo., son of the Charles and Blanche Vernor Wilkey. He and Kathy Frankum Kiefer were married on May 9, 1989.

Wilkey was a member of Shady Acres Church in Sikeston. He was employed at AECI New Madrid Power Plant as a results engineer.

He is survived by his wife; his mother; a daughter, Sally Koch of Sikeston; five brothers, Nick Wilkey of Hot Springs, Ark., Wendell Wilkey of Blytheville, Ark., Leonard and Junior Whitehead of Manila, Ark., and Marvin Whitehead of Michigan; eight sisters, Glenda Johnson, Linda Brewer, Bertha McCormick, Mary Kiss, Marie Gamble and Gerline McDowell of Manila, Barbara Warren of Potosi, Mo., and Earline Hicks of Kentucky; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters.

Friends may call today from 5-8 p.m. at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pat Hogan will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
