ADVANCE -- Glen Thomas, 92, of Advance died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at the Advance Nursing Center.
He was born March 23, 1906, at Grassy, son of Daniel J. and Ida Whitner Thomas. He and Ruby Slinkard were married on Oct. 16, 1927. She died June 6, 1997.
Thomas was the head of maintenance at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau for more than 10 years.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Advance.
Survivors include two daughters, Dixie Row of Malden and Joy Ward of Advance; two brothers, Fred Thomas of Marble Hill and Clarence Thomas of St. Louis; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel. The Rev. James Brice will officiate, with burial in the Bollinger County Memorial Park in Marble Hill.
