DEXTER, Mo. -- Glen E. Duckworth, 70, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 14, 1935, at Dexter, Mo., son of Earl "Tump" and Verna "Susie" Escue Duckworth. He and Joy Johnson were married Aug. 18, 1953, at Essex, Mo., and she died March 22, 1989. He and Andrea Lind were married on Jan. 12, 1990, at Dexter.
Duckworth was a supervisor at the Department of Corrections in the Probation and Parole Office, a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Regina Duckworth of Jackson; a stepson, Mark Kirkbride of Olathe, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Laura Kirkbride of St. Louis; and a brother, Kenneth Duckworth of Flint, Mich.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Gerald Beam officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
