EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral for Glen Eugene Branam of Hickman, Ky., will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Bradley will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Branam, 63, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at West View Rehabilitation Center in St. Louis.

He was born Sept. 21, 1935, in New Madrid County, son of Churchill and Ruth Schneider Branam.

Branam was a self-employed timber cutter. He moved to Hickman 24 years ago from East Prairie.

Survivors include four sons, Roger Branam of Prior Lake, Minn., Jimmy and Johnny Branam of Hickman, David Branam of Dukedom, Tenn.; two daughters, Terry Mayhab-Branam of Fort Worth, Texas, and Mona Karpenko of Houston, Texas.

Also surviving are two brothers, Anthony Branam of East Prairie, Jay Branam of Columbus, Ky.; five sisters, Mabel Bowles of Hopedale, Ill., Francine Mason of Christopher, Ill., Loraine Fraley of Clinton, Ky., Georgia Furlow of DuQuoin, Ill., Doris Carden of Tamaroa, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers, and a grandchild.
